Trust your business graphics to a professional, us. We can accept your existing digital art files / camera ready art for projects ONLY WHEN the following guidelines are met. There are special requirements for state-of-the-art commercial printing equipment technologies and the artwork must be set up with the following preparations taken into account. Customers providing files assume responsibility for the integrity of the artwork supplied and will be printed as is; PLEASE CALL AHEAD for guidelines for your particular project.

GUIDELINES
Preferred File Types: AI, EPS, PDF
Other Accepted Files Types: PSD, TIF, JPEG, BMP

Scalable Vector Art: Adobe Illustrator .AI, can be saved as .EPS
PDF files saved as press quality with editing cababilities on.
Always CMYK, Never RGB on photos and artwork
All Spot Colors turned to Process (CMYK)
Never compressed
All layers flattened
All fonts turned to curves/outlines
With bleed (call ahead for bleed specifications as it will differ by project)
With crop marks (call ahead for crop mark specifications as it will differ by project)
Bitmap art or photos require 300 dpi at 100% (actual printed size for best quality)

Art that requires no alteration or set up before printing

DPI AND RESOLUTION / DIGITAL PHOTOS
DPI stands for Dots per inch; it symbolizes the amount of data stored in your file or in other words, how well it will print. If you have a small file pulled off the internet it is typically 72 dpi or smaller for quick file download. When this file is enlarged for a sign it is not big enough and it appears pixilated or bitmapped (and are not usable). Photos are resolution dependent and make large files that are typically huge and take quite a long time to process. Call us if you need ftp service.

VECTOR ART
Art such as Illustrator, however is not made up of little dots and it is not resolution dependent. This means it can be scaled at will for both brochures and large format signs without the challenges that arise with Raster/Bitmapped art.
